Through the summer, we're focusing our Sundays on opportunites to go UP, IN, OUT, OF - connecting with each other, with God, with the wider church, and making a difference in our communtiies. Underpinning all this is a prayer adventure that you can join in with from whereever you are, using the Lectio 365 prayer app

'Stowe-Aways Festival

August Bank Holiday weekend: 'Stowe-Aways - Social Justice; Spirituality; Music; Community

Campers are welcome to pitch up on Saturday afternoon from 2pm (bring your own dinner or pick up a takeaway in willingham); weather permitting we'll show a movie as dusk falls (8pm). 

Day-pass attenders are welcome to join us on Sunday, and drop into any of the seminar sessions, or simply chill in the fields with outdoor games, pop up cafe, and the Imagination Tent featuring YOUR photography from our Pause Day, and resources to get creative. 

Sunday's Session lineup incudes the following  - you are welcome to dip into any of these and aren't expected to do all of them!
  • Early Morning Campfire Communion (8.30am)
  • Bacon Butties for Breakfast (9.15am)
  • Breathe Deep (10am)- a contemplative start to the day (with Ian Adams, author of Cave Refectory Road)
  • Elevenses & games  (11am)
  • An intergenational introduction to the #SlaveFree work of IJM ((11.45) with Alianore Smith of INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE MISSION: ijmuk.org)
  • Bring your own Picnic Lunch (12.30)
  • Miniature train rides from 12.30
  • Digging deeper into the work of IJM (1.30) - Q&A and discussion (with Alianore Smith. warning: likely to include topics unsuitable for children)
  • Live Jazz and Jamming  (3pm) (bring your instruments! With Cream Teas in the pop up cafe)
  • 6pm Sausages on the campfire (or Bring your own tea)
  • Beer and Hymns (7.30pm (BYOB; please drink responsibly)
  • A Quiet Night and a Perfect End - late night Compline 

On Monday morning, campers are welcome to head off at their leisure. (no planned structure)

When booking, let us know if you want to join the Bacon Butties on Sunday morning (with veggie alternative), and the Sunday Evening Cookout (sausages / veggie burgers)

For other meals, please either pick up a local takeaway, bring a picnic, or cook outside your tent on suitable camping equipment that will not scorch the grass e.g., raised BBQ or gas stove. There will also be a tuck shop and cream tea.

Please bring your own drinks, cups, plates, rugs, camping chairs, hand sanitizer and torches.



Children and Young People: Those of all ages are very welcome at the camp: children and young people will need to be supervised by a responsible adult. 

Musicans: Our Jazz and Jamming session wiill be lead by Orchard Jazz and friends, with a one hour set to accompany the cream tea. They invite you to bring along your instruments - please indicate below what you'll be brining. The normally play from Chord Sheets, but do ask if you would appreciate anything extra

For those of you asking about money – thank you! To make sure everyone who wants to attend can,  we’ve used the donations local people have already made to church funds to cover all our expenditure. There will be donations taken up at the event for the charities involved: please be ready to give generously! Venue and Parking
We are camping at  private venue in Willingham. Parking available for campers, and those will additional needs/kit to carry. Day attenders please street park in Willingham unless you've booked a parking space.
